Philadelphia and Arizona Take the Lead in the first National League Wild Card Game

AL Minnesota and Texas defeated Toronto and Tampa Bay, respectively.

The Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks succeeded in taking the lead in the fall baseball season of the Major League Baseball (MLB), which finally began.

The Philadelphia Phillies, the No. 1 wild card team in the National League (NL), defeated the Miami Marlins 4-1 on the 4th (Korean time) in the first game of the wild card series held at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, using ace Jack Wheeler’s strong performance as a stepping stone.

Philadelphia, last year’s World Series runner-up, will advance to the Division Series for the second consecutive year with just one win in the remaining two games.

Philadelphia, with all of its starting batters recording hits, scored the first run in the bottom of the third inning with Alec Bohm’s double to left field. 토토사이트 순위

However, Philadelphia broke the game in the bottom of the 8th inning when Nick Castellanos brought a runner home on first base with a double to left and ran away with the score 4-1.

Philadelphia starting pitcher Wheeler became the winning pitcher by striking out 8 batters and allowing 5 hits and 1 run in 6⅔ innings.

The Arizona Diamondbacks, who finished third in the National League wild card, hit three home runs in the first game against the Milwaukee Brewers and won 6-3.

Milwaukee, the top team in the Central Division, scored the first run in the first inning with a timely hit by Carlos Santana, and in the bottom of the second inning, Tyrone Taylor hit a two-run home run to left to take a 3-0 lead.

In the 4th inning, Gabriel Moreno hit a solo home run to turn the game around, and in the top of the 9th inning, Christian Walker hit a 2-RBI double to give Arizona the lead.

In Game 1 of the American League (AL) Wild Card Series, the Toronto Blue Jays, who dropped Ryu Hyun-jin (36) from the playing roster, lost 1-3 to the Minnesota Twins, the first-place team in the Central Division.

Toronto used Kevin Gozman as the starting pitcher, but collapsed after being hit by two home runs from Minnesota’s slugger Royce Lewis.

Minnesota took the lead in the bottom of the first inning with one out and one on first base when Lewis hit a two-run home run that went over the left field fence.

In the third inning, Lewis again hit a solo home run against Gozman that went over the right fence to make it 3-0.

Toronto, which was being dragged, made up for one run in the top of the sixth inning with two outs and a timely hit from Kevin Kiermaier on first and second base.

However, Minnesota, with its powerful bullpen, fought off Toronto’s pursuit with an impeccable fighting strategy.

The Texas Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-0 amid a strong performance from starter Jordan Montgomery.

Texas took the lead with Josh Chung’s sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning, and added one point in the fifth inning, taking advantage of Tampa Bay starter Tyler Glasnow’s wild pitch.
